Wyatt, Tasha, Kate & Rowdy picked me up from the itty bitty airport in Bellingham, Washington. It is about the size of Elko, Nevada's airport with a tiny little Air Traffic Control tower. I had given up trying to use my stand-by ticket on Southwest to Seattle and purchased a ticket with Allegiant Airlines instead. It was a little bit farther drive but it was well worth it.
The scenic drive back to Snohomish was gorgeous. I love Washington! It is always so pretty and green there. It is just amazing that there are parts of the world this beautiful and yet I choose to live in the desert. I think I leave my heart in Washington and when I go back it just feels like home. That morning I had left 115 degrees in Las Vegas and when I arrived, it was only 75 degrees outside. It was heaven!
