Weston's Graduation

I made it home from Seattle just in time to see Weston graduate from 5th grade. I have had at least one child in elementary school for the past 20 years. Torri started Kindergarten in 1991 and my kids have gone to five different elementary schools. I finally feel like I am graduating from elementary too!

BBQ with the VanHam's

Our last night in Seattle we had a BBQ with the VanLandingham family.  Greg, April and their three adorable kids Jordyn, Maddie and Cameron. I have known Greg since he was a sophomore in high school and attending Elko High school. They now live in Lake Stevens and it is always fun to get to see them when we come to Washington. After dinner we played "And it came to pass" until 1:00 am.  It is always hilarious playing games with the VanHams since they are very competitive. Good times and fun memories were made on our trip to Washington.

Picnic at the Beach

After the first day, the weather in Seattle was gorgeous throughout the weekend.  On Sunday afternoon, Wyatt stopped and picked-up Thai food and took us on a picnic at Mukilteo Beach.  It was around 70 degrees that day but people were hanging out in swim suits.  The water was only 45 degrees and not very many people were swimming however, it seemed like everyone in Washington was out enjoying the sun.
I love Washington!
It is so green and pretty every time we come.  Wyatt tries to tell me it rains all the time here but I don't believe him because when I am here it is sunny.  He says I bring the sunshine with me from Las Vegas.

El Gaucho Seattle

Last year for our 25th Anniversary, Wyatt took us to The Metropolitan Grill which was amazing!  This year he decided to kick it up a notch and he made reservations for El Gaucho.  We had the Chateaubriand at both places carved table side.  Although they were both incredible, I would have to say El Gaucho is my new favorite place to eat. Wyatt ordered the Brochette of Tenderloin on a flaming sword.  It was very impressive!  We ended the night with Banana Foster (which we were too full to eat). Our dinner reservations were for 4:30 so we could make it to the concert by 7:00 sharp.  A fabulous way to start the night!

KateLyn's 8th grade dance

While Russ and I were in Seattle, Kate had her 8th grade dance.  She sprung that on me the day before we left to go out of town.  Torri was the best big sister ever and helped Kate pick-out a dress and she even let her wear some of her jewelry. I told them to take lots of pictures and they didn't disappoint.

Kate and her BFF Carly before the dance.

Torri snapped these pictures outside of the Middle School

After the dance they went for ice cream with Torri, Bryce, Jordan and Weston.

Here are some pictures Kate took with her camera.  I was shocked to see some of the dresses these 8th graders were wearing.  I am so happy my girls are modest and like to wear clothes that cover them.  Kate told me that several girls asked her why her dress had sleeves.

Hangin' with the boys Day 2

When we made it to Seattle we had fun just playing with my boys.  The second day we took Rowdy to see Kung Fu Panda 2.  He loved it but fell asleep right before it got over.

Bellingham, Washington Day 1

Russ and I flew into Bellingham, Washington to spend the weekend with Wyatt, Tasha and the boys.  Russ loved driving down the coast but it was rainy and cloudy that day and not good for picture taking.

Weston's DARE Graduation

This time of year is always busy but this year has seemed more so. Weston's DARE graduation was the day before we left for Seattle. Luckily Russ was off that day because I had to work. We have been playing tag-team with all of the commitments this year. We have also asked Torri to help us out on more than one occasion too.
