The Lonnie Tree
My sister-in-law Kellie & my brother Travis received a cool gift from Kellie's parents. It is a tree that they can plant in their yard as a remembrance of Lonnie. For over a year, we have talked about having a family party every year in August (Lonnie's Birthday month) to celebrate Lonnie and his incredible life. We will also be able to watch this tree grow and before we know it, the kids will be climbing the branches. Rowdy was so cute, he wanted to help Uncle Travis dig the hole and plant the tree. Travis also added the ashes from the fire pit we lit the night before at the funeral after-party.

What a great idea!! I love it :) Looking forward to seeing the pictures from next August during Lonnie's Celebration party, to see how big the tree has grown.
