Things have been crazy around here since my last post. The week we came home from Utah for Lonnie's funeral we jumped right back into life. The kids had an endless supply of homework waiting for them and we spent the week playing catch-up. I also started my new job and I worked 48 hours in 5 days that week (which nearly killed me after not working for 5 months). I wish I could say I love my job as much as my last one working in the nursery. I miss my babies and I am not adjusting well to caring for adults! I also hate going back to working those dreadful twelve and a half hour shifts. The very worst part was starting out on night shift for two nights and then going to day shift for 2 days with only a day in between to recover (which I decided to spend at the DENTIST). I was exhausted and felt like someone had ran me over with a steam roller by the end of the week. The day after I finished my 5 crazy work days, we packed up and headed to California for a vacation (if you can call walking 9 miles a day in Disneyland a vacation).
We just got home a few hours ago and I am slowly starting the unpacking/endless laundry process. Tomorrow I have appointments all day and then I go back to work Wednesday and Thursday. I am hoping to find some time tomorrow to play on the computer or maybe blog because I want to post some pictures from our trip.
For now I am heading to bed to put my feet up. My ankles are swollen and my body aches, I need a massage and a pedicure in the worst way.
I'm glad I found your blog! I hope you start enjoying your new job more and I can't wait to see pictures from your trip. We are heading to Disneyland next month but we always manage to get there during the busiest times.
