As the world turns

I haven't blogged this past week because my mind is racing 100 miles an hour.  I have been kind of in a funk...mostly because it's January...or mostly because of all the turmoil going on around me.  2009 was my year to worry however, it looks as if I am carrying the worry into 2010.  Going to see my brother last weekend stirred up all kinds of emotions.  I also know 5 people who lost someone they love just last week.  These seem to be sad times and I don't want to drown in the saddness.  I want things to be happy.

Russ took Weston to Quick Care yesterday because he has been having asthma attacks all weekend.  He is now on a steroid, antibiotics & breathing treatments.  He was almost admitted to the hospital because his 02 sats were only in the 80's and after 2 treatments only came up to 93.  He is back to the Doctor today.

We had a staff meeting at my work with our CEO last week...never a good sign.  The decisions they will be making at my hospital in the next few weeks could change my life dramatically.  More on that later...

On a brighter note, my new years resolutions are coming along quite well.  Maybe not all of them...but most.
-Our renters renewed their lease for another year.
-Jordan will receive his last two merit badges at the court-of-honor this Wednesday (he's almost done with his Eagle project).
-Valentines Day is right around the corner.
-It will soon be spring in Vegas.
Ok, I'm Trying to have positive thoughts...at least 5 every day.  Some days are not easy!

I love this picture, my aunt sent me about a large group protesting global warming.  It makes me smile!

  1. I am so sorry about your brother.

I am sorry that January has you in a funk. I've been in one too and I just wonder if it is our age, the point in our lives that we are at, who knows?

I like your five good thoughts. I do five things I am grateful for. But I'm going to add five happy thoughts.
