Skyler (Kate's BFF) & her mom decided to take KateLyn out to breakfast on her first day of school. I wasn't quite ready at 6:45 a.m. so these first two pictures were taken inside the house (I wasn't going outside in my jammies).
The temperature in Vegas is still over 100 degrees in the day, don't ask me how the kids manage to go out for recess & PE. However, the kids are happy to wear shorts until November. I was surprised most of the styles Kate wanted to buy this year included some sort of jacket/vest thing. I know it is in style...but c'mon it's hot here!

While the kids were tucked safely away at school, Torri and I went shopping and then to lunch at Bahama Breeze. Much to my surprise we found Halloween decorations in all of the stores. I'm just not ready for fall, I still want my summer and sleeping in! Oh, by-the-way...I also got a job today. I guess we really are back to reality.
