Easter didn't feel like spring

Easter this year was not until the end of April.  Usually it is over a 100 degrees in Vegas by the end of April.  However, this year it has only stayed in the 60's and 70's.  Easter day was cold and windy and not a great day for an egg hunt.  Weston was the only one home the night before Easter so he colored eggs with Russ by himself.

My kids have long outgrown their Easter baskets so every year I try to find different containers.  I found these drink holders that fit perfectly under their sinks to hold wash cloths, soaps and lotions etc.
This year, we had a super fun Easter egg hunt.  My kids think they are too big to hunt eggs so I had to get creative this year. I found an idea that made all the Easter eggs worth points. Click here  At the end when we got back to the house the kids could trade colors depending on what colors they thought would earn them more points.  The whole game was all about prioritizing and figuring out what is truly important BEFORE you start the game.  The kids were surprised to find out that the golden eggs were not only empty but not worth anything and they had to minus 100 points.  We talked about how important family is rather than things of the world.  In the end KateLyn had the most points and she won $20.00.  The kids had a fun time (even the big ones).
